There are no taboos nor cultural barriers when talking continence care
In his previous role as Senior Sales Manager for Middle East and North Africa, Mohammad Hamdani was often asked about cultural barriers relating to the promotion of bowel and bladder products. He explains that continence care is well developed in the Middle East and the healthcare professionals he meets have a scientific approach and are open minded. On the patients’ side, a younger representation – the result of high rates of road traffic accidents – makes patients more open to talk about their problems.
The rise in urological and bowel disorders and the increase in governmental healthcare expenditure is paving the way for an exponential growth of the continence care industry in the Middle East," Mohammad tells us.
Mohammad started at Wellspect with a dual role as sales manager and educational consultant. “I could channel my knowledge of medical technology and human anatomy into something meaningful while also unlocking new market opportunities in a region that feels like home”, says Mohammad and adds: "The stories I get to witness are inspiring. They transcend cultural boundaries and show how the mind can adapt to new circumstances, provided the right products and treatment are on offer."
As of May 2024, Mohammad has crossed the Atlantic and is now National Accounts Manager of the Northeastern region in the US.
